Capital Finance Specialist

I review capital funding requests before they go to the Ohio Controlling Board and write the approval memos. I also built the agency's Contract, Permits & Release compliance tool, an interactive checklist that replaced a spreadsheet process for issuing contract, release, and permit numbers.

Finance, from both ends.

By day I'm on the public side of the ledger, making sure Ohio's construction dollars move by the rules. The rest of the time I care about how young adults learn to carry their own finances, which is what The New York Times asked me about: money milestones should follow triggers, like moving out or saving up a cushion, not birthdays.

Photography has been the constant since I was a kid on Long Island pointing my mom's iPhone at anything the afternoon light made look different. That's what ab0614 is for. Even my stint at Orange Barrel Media kept me close to it: I managed payables for the photographers who shoot proof-of-posting images across its digital billboard network.

I studied finance and economics at Ohio State's Fisher College of Business. Before the state, I was the only financial analyst at HAAS Alert.
